As a graphic designer I always loved the science behind a good (album) cover. It provides listeners with an initial glimpse into the style, mood and atmosphere of the music. A well-designed cover can effectively convey the essence of the artist's vision and create a strong connection between the music and the audience. A great album cover can be a visual 'hook' that catches a viewer's eye within seconds and makes a difference in whether your album is picked up and listened to.
